For the past 36 years the Oklahoma Technical Assistance Center (OTAC) has served Oklahoma school districts by successfully working with schools to close achievement gaps for high-need students and reduce the dropout rate. OTAC has a long record of effective endeavors including:
OTAC has developed expertise in communications technologies (e.g., webcasts, interactive web events, document sharing, collaborative planning, web-enabled individual and small-group conferencing, customized online survey administration) that permit frequent contact and document sharing at little cost.
OTAC’s evaluation strategies are designed to involve clients as partners so that they see evaluation as an objective, fair, helpful process. Local directors of programs that were required to participate in OTAC evaluations were routinely asked to rate OTAC on three qualities of the evaluation process: objectivity, thoroughness, and fairness. All three qualities were rated higher than 4.6 on a five-point scale.
Note: OTAC has recently downsized, and our professional development services are no longer available. We are proud of our record of providing high-quality, highly-rated professional development services to Oklahoma schools and teachers since 1976.
