Rattan Alternative Education
Every month we have a professional artist come to our classroom. She teaches us how the old artists painted back in the 1600's and 1700's. The technique is called wet-on-wet. We each finish a painting in about half a day. It's a lot of fun, but can be frustrating at times. Our teacher got a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council to fund the project. We also do basket weaving like the Indians did a long time ago.
