For over 30 years the Oklahoma Technical Assistance Center (OTAC) has provided low-cost, high quality professional development to Oklahoma schools, teachers, administrators, and students. While our mission to provide professional development has not changed, the direction and service model has changed. Research, current trends, and new regulations require that schools take a different approach to High Quality Professional Development. OTAC promotes an initiative to assist schools in updating their basic approach to accessing and choosing High Quality Professional Development through the use of free webcasts that can be viewed in groups or on individual computers.

In addition, OTAC staff are available to work with school faculty in a variety of ways to improve teaching and learning. Our evaluation staff work with our professional developers to develop data-based school improvement strategies grounded in research.
